Think decadent rockstars and petulant young things with nothing but time on their hands looking fabulously fierce in a wine and roses Stevie Nicks kind of way
Last week we looked at Celine’s edgy left of center collection for Spring 2016, well today we are heading to the opposite end of the spectrum with Roberto Cavalli’s darkly romantic collection for fall. Think decadent rockstars and petulant young things with nothing but time on their hands looking fabulously fierce in a wine and roses Stevie Nicks kind of way. Like flower children with a dark side this collection is at once enchanting and a little dangerous. Silhouettes are long, flowing and layered, and are seen in a swirling fusion of conflicting patterns of celestial explosions, whimsical botanicals and pagan inspired star scapes. With a can’t be missed 70’s current running through out the collection, it embraces the decadently baroque romanticism of the era but in thoroughly modern way. Staying in step with the boho, festival trends you will find much to please your palette if this is your trip. From cropped jackets in metallic finishes and fur lined trims, to embroidered bell bottoms, and over printed velvet blazers, to haystack floor length dresses adorned with everything from ruffles and lace to embroidered textiles to ultra long skinny scarves and beautiful tapestry capes this collection is a gorgeous celebration of all that is free spirited and full of wonder.
