Summer is a few weeks a way and I am more then ready to shake off the winter blues, pack up the sweaters and the skinny jeans and get my summer jam on. Last week I wrote about how hot New York gets in the summer and how wearing form fitting clothes can make you feel like you are roasting alive. For me summer in New York is all about lose fitting clothes that give you plenty of breathing room— anything that will make you feel more comfortable and that includes what’s on your feet as well. So I am totally in love the wide leg pants with flats trend. The other day I was walking through the subway on my way to work and I saw a young women wearing super wide leg flood length trousers in a mustard yellow color with pointy black loafers, a wide cut black top and a black moto jacket. And I thought she looked great, and this reminded me that I need more of both of these items in my closet. I recently bought a pair of super wide leg pants at COS in black but I want to pick up a few more pairs in other colors. I want long ones, flood height and ankle grazing. And a pair in a print perhaps? And for flats so far I have a pair of slip on sneakers in white, a pair of Adidas, a pair of fringe sandals, a pair of Aerosoles and couple of pairs of ballet flats with straps. But of course I need more, right? How do you feel about this trend? Do you do it? Or are you more of a shorts and sun dresses kind of girl?
Navy wide pants are so yuppy chic. Loving how Amy of Fashion Jackson styled hers with these neutral flats and wide cut top. And that Chloe Cross Body Bag doesn’t hurt either
And what about a double whammy of white? Cool huh. To see more cool looks from this stylish blogger head to ZoryMory.com

And Elif of The Fashion Melody really has it going on with these extra long wide leg pants and sandals.
