Stella’s got her kitschy groove on it seems. A pussy galore to be sure, Stella McCarney’s pre autumn collection for fall 2016 is a quirky mix of animal prints, layered sheers and eclectic knits. A smattering of seventies inspired pieces are sprinkled through out the collection and lend a bit of glam rock chic, while quirkier pieces like the asymmetrical parachute pants and what can only be described as relax fit long johns in a gray jersey give the collection a more artful edge.
Layering can be seen throughout the lineup with billowing tulle draped over nineties inspired bodice tanks and high waisted bolero pants. An illustrated cat print motif shows up in unexpected places on a number of pieces, and is also seen in a high low wrap skirt in a jacquard tapestry. Leopard and tiger print in faux fur are displayed in decadent print on print looks for a decidedly punk meets retro vibe. And zig zagging zippered details add an eighties moment to ankle grazing lace wrap dresses and sexy jumpsuits. While this collection may not be for the more conservative dresser, if you like a bit of attitude in your attire, this lineup has more then enough to offer.
