[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Happy Friday everyone today I am sharing with you a show I attended for the up and coming label Landeros. It was held at The Scandinavia House on Sunday the 8th when people were still OK with going out and about, though the city was noticeably more quite with less people out on the streets. There was a short runway show followed by a presentation, the feeling in the air was celebratory with everyone obviously impressed with the Fall 2020 collection.[/dropcap]
NYFW My Style Look #1
[bigletter]Whew busy with my NYFW vlogs but now I am finally able to share with you my first look for NYFW. This fashion week I only wore one brand new item: a hat I bought on sale at Zara. Everything else this season I either thrifted or shopped my closet. For this look I wore sunnies from Bottega Veneta which I picked up at sample sale at a former job. The scarf I bought so long ago I can not recall where I got it, and the sixties style patent bomber I got at Zara about four years ago; I wore it on my very first trip to Paris, so needles to say it holds fond memories for me. The skirt was thrifted at Beacon’s Closet in Brooklyn and the boots I bought about six years ago are from Cole Haan...[/bigletter]

Fix and Fax SS2020 @NYFW
[bigletter]Another Fashion Week has come and gone here in New York. And as usual for the February shows the weather did not cooperate. It rained five out of the seven days with some truly crazy weather on the seventh. It was a challenge at times to keep dry but when it came to attending show I didn’t let it stop me, though I did not shoot as much street style as I would have liked.[/bigletter]
PFW SS2020 Street Style Outside The Telfar Show Part Two
Trends Straight From The Streets of Paris
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]I will be chatting today about the trends I witnessed on the streets of Paris this past fall. I always feel Parisian style is a bit more individualistic then American style. I find in the states that people are much more driven by specific trends and brands, with everyone wearing similar looks and styles from the same fashion houses; almost a uniform if you will; while in Paris it is more about expressing your individual style. That said Parisians do indeed follow trends much like their counterparts across the pond. I mean no one is immune to FOMO.[/dropcap]
Paris Fashion Week Vlog SS202
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Well it is finally here, my Paris Fashion Week vlog. This was one of the busiest fashion weeks for me. From the ground breaking non gender specific African American owned Telfar opening fashion week to the forty two designer Flying Solo Collective I felt like I was running around non stop. This is a long video so grab the popcorn. From shows to presentations to shooting street style, pre-loved shopping, dinner with other influencers and outings with my Parisian family I was one busy and very tired fashionista. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I hope you enjoy my escapades...[/dropcap]
Schandani SS202 At PFW September 2019
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]I kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a pre-fashion week event and headed to a presentation in the third arrondissement of Paris otherwise known as the Haut-Marais. The Marais is known for it’s shopping and the Haut-Marais is known for the food and the Les Enfants Rouges market. I attended the event with my Parisian niece who of course was very excited to attend. It was held at a Gallery and was hosted and produced by Oui Bridge. It was a wonderful way to commence the season and the collection was a brilliant combination of artistry, fashion forward designs and intricate techniques.[/dropcap]
Moohong SS2020 @PFW
[dropcap custom_class="bl"]Known for unconventional tailoring and deconstructed silhouettes Moohong’s collection for SS2020 walked the line between the expected and the non traditional. Often descried as counter-intuitive Moohong’s garments do indeed appear at first glance to be off kilter in a vaguely unsettling way.[/dropcap]
Flying Solo SS2020
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]I had the distant pleasure of attending Flying Solo’s second show for NYFW. They premiered last season for Fall 2019 and SS2020 was the second time they presented for NYFW. The started more or less on time, which is surprising for a fashion show and I barely made it, and scooted in the door in the nick of time. I had to work, and I even left early, but it was all I could do to make it in time. I was been invited by Viivi and I think they walked right before I arrived and featured the fun quirky tees they are known for. I did get to see them during the finale.[/dropcap]
