I am happy to share with you Chocheng’s collection for Spring/Summer 2020. While it’s early sixties retro feel was refreshingly minimalist, it was also simultaneously sumptuous.
On the third day of Fashion Week I attended two shows: Kyle Shehida and the Academy of Art University graduates for SS2020. I had to rush to make this show as the Kyle Shahida show was about forty minutes late and there was only an hour between shows.
The fabrics are moving, flowing and bright” says Kyle Richards of her debut line Kyle Shahida which debuted at NYFW SS2020. And indeed they are. The collection was a stunner of a debut and it was obvious a lot hard work and talent went into the looks.
For my second day of Fashion Week one of the shows I attended was Oxford Fashion Studio’s Show I for SS2020. It was a surprisingly brisk day for early September and show was held at Pier 59 Studios. The show featured eight rising designers. The show was filled to capacity and you could sense the excitement.
The third show I attended this Fashion Week was Elf Sack for the Nolcha Shows. A vibrant quirky brand in a similar vein as Wild Fox, only less sex and more playful. Hello Kitty meets grandma chic could aptly describe this color-saturated kaleidoscope of a collection. Illustrative patterns, cheeky cartoon characters, grungy plaids, lady-like florals and polkadots are all represented.
ICY Presents The Dynasty was the first show I attended. It was held on the evening of the 4th was a bit of a pre-Fashion Week show. Four designers presents and it was a wonderful way to kick off Fashion Week.
