The fourth Designer to walk for Nolcha’s One To Watch show was Chèlbè which means well dressed in Haitian. Chèlbè was founded by Diana Delva who grew up in Stamford Connecticut where she reached the height of 6’1” by age fourteen. It was struggling through this awkward age at 6’1” that inspired Diana to create Chèlbè a line of clothing specifically created for women who are 5’11” or taller. Models that stand 6’ or taller walked in the show further emphasizing the essence of the brand. Creating stylish and uncomplicated clothing for the tall woman who can often find it difficult to find fashionable clothes was a dilemma Diana understood well, and with her label Chèlbè she is meeting a need that is so often over looked.
