[dropcap custom_class="bl"]Here is look number two which I wore on the second day of Fashion Week. On this day I had a show at nine in the morning and then my next show was not until 7PM that evening. The day called for rain through out the day, which put a bit of a damper on my plan to shoot street style in-between.[/dropcap]
Landeros Fall 2020 For Lookbook Friday
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Happy Friday everyone today I am sharing with you a show I attended for the up and coming label Landeros. It was held at The Scandinavia House on Sunday the 8th when people were still OK with going out and about, though the city was noticeably more quite with less people out on the streets. There was a short runway show followed by a presentation, the feeling in the air was celebratory with everyone obviously impressed with the Fall 2020 collection.[/dropcap]
NYFW My Style Look #1
[bigletter]Whew busy with my NYFW vlogs but now I am finally able to share with you my first look for NYFW. This fashion week I only wore one brand new item: a hat I bought on sale at Zara. Everything else this season I either thrifted or shopped my closet. For this look I wore sunnies from Bottega Veneta which I picked up at sample sale at a former job. The scarf I bought so long ago I can not recall where I got it, and the sixties style patent bomber I got at Zara about four years ago; I wore it on my very first trip to Paris, so needles to say it holds fond memories for me. The skirt was thrifted at Beacon’s Closet in Brooklyn and the boots I bought about six years ago are from Cole Haan...[/bigletter]
NYFW Vlog Part Two
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]As promised is part two of NYFW. In this vlog I cover the remaining shows I went to as well as BTS at Flying Solo and the CADA collective and I also interviewed some more of the designers who walked this Fashion Week for Flying Solo. The last day I spent shooting street style and interviewing the well dressed attendees outside the shows so you will get see some of the great fashion on streets and not just on the runway. See you next season![/dropcap
NYFW Fall 2020 Vlog Part One
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]Here is part one of my NYFW Fall 2020 vlog. I decided to post the my NYFW coverage in two parts. In this video which is about twenty minutes long, covers the first couple of days. Personally, I prefer longer videos as when I am on YouTube I like to settle in and not have to keep searching for something to watch every ten minutes. But an hour is a bit long and I did’t want my computer to start smoking when I exported the video. At any rate, I take you to the shows at Spring Studios and Pier 59 as well as what I got up to between the shows. And stayed tuned for Part two coming next week.[/dropcap]
Luooif Studios @NYFW Fall 2020
[bigletter]First it was the eighties, then is was dad sneakers, now it’s dressing up like an eighties dad, that is if you were still seven years old. The collection for Luooif Studios has been affectionately called “The wild dads’s wardrobe” by the brand’s designers Lena Luo and Ekcee Chan. Think oversized, broad shoulders and slightly off kilter, though there are more then enough feminine frilly pieces to go around, and played to the softer side of the lineup. [/bigletter]
Flying Solo RTW & Couture @NYFW Fall 2020
[dropcap custom_class="bl"]I once again had the extreme pleasure of attending the Flying Solo shows for NYFW. I attended both the ready-to-wear and couture shows and was duly impressed by both presentations. In an age of a disruptive industry, what some are referring to the retail apocalypse and the rise of online streaming, and very crowded and competitive space Flying Solo seeks to unite fashion, support up and coming designers and pay homage to the city that has always been at the heart of fashion. Tom Ford may have snubbed his nose at New York, and other well known brands my only show overseas but Flying Solo is committed to the New York fashion scene and to that end plans on opening two additional locations in addition to their recently expanded store front on West Broadway in Soho.[/dropcap]
OFS Fashion Week SS2020
[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Today I am sharing with you the OFS shows from this past Fashion Week. The lineup for SS2020 was stronger then ever and was a joy to watch. Ten designers were featured: Manishii, MVR, Samantha Darryanto,Mayan the Label,Poli & Jo, NadineByNadia, Matt Sarafa, Samantha Darryanto. The collections span the range of fashion forward aesthetics. From futuristic streetwear to satin gowns, to utilitarian inspired bags, to minimalism, to club clothes and beyond it was found in this inspiring collective.[/dropcap
Blancore A/W 2020 @NYFW
[dropcap custom_class="whb"]I was lucky enough to attend the Blancore show for Fall 2020 and it was truly a breath of fresh air. With it’s minimalist approach and focus on shape and form the brand offers the wearer an independent expression of modern day attire. And the lineup for Fall 2020 working within this aesthetic was a fete of the idea of function and form coming together in a playful expression of elegance and grace. [/dropcap]
Fix and Fax SS2020 @NYFW
[bigletter]Another Fashion Week has come and gone here in New York. And as usual for the February shows the weather did not cooperate. It rained five out of the seven days with some truly crazy weather on the seventh. It was a challenge at times to keep dry but when it came to attending show I didn’t let it stop me, though I did not shoot as much street style as I would have liked.[/bigletter]
PFW SS2020 Sixth Installment & @Amiaya The Bobbed Twinners From Japan
[dropcap custom_class="whb"]Fashion Week here in New York is in full swing and I am sharing the next installment of my Paris SS2020 street style photos. I thought I was close to the finish line and then I realized, oh god there is another folder. Well at least I was productive this past season and now I am busy shooting NYFW A/W2020 street style, whew. Many of these shots were taken as usual outside the Hotel De Tokyo.[/dropcap]
