A Zara Bag, a Pair of Aldo Booties and a Lovely Day at the Shore

L ast week I wrote about this lovely pink suede bag that I picked up at the Zara store in Soho. Well here it is in action, I love this bag for spring and summer. I can pair it with a pair of jeans and a cropped pleather jacket like I did here, or I could pair it with a dress and heels. This bag looks super luxe but is super affordable at $119. On this day my friend and I headed to a town on Long Island called Sayville, it is one of the towns where you can catch the ferry to Fire Island. It is a quaint town with lots of fun shops. In fact my sister works at one of them, it is called Therapy, and it is aptly named. Who doesn’t need a dose of retail therapy! And be sure to stay tuned for a post on this lovely store. After strolling through town, we stopped for lunch at a Tapas place a couple of towns over called Bayshore, and then we headed to Gardiner Sate Park where these photos were taken. It was a cool spring day so along with this cropped jacket and long top both of which I purchased a few years ago at H&M, I wore these low heeled ankle booties. I bought them online at Aldo and they were conveniently on sale and were 50% off. I could not be happier with my purchase, I had been looking for a pair of boots like this and these totally fit the bill at a great price. So it should be no surprise that they have sold out. But check their sale page here, seems all their boots are on sale. That’s the great thing about buying things off season—sales! In fact, I first tried looking for a pair of boots like this in the stores but they were no where to be found, it was all sandals and summer shoes. So I hopped online and my perseverance paid off. Have you ever found something online that was sold out in the stores? Do you prefer shopping online or in the stores? I use to only like shopping in the stores. But online shopping has grown on me. But either way shopping makes me a happy gal!
