In this vlog I cover the remaining shows I went to as well as BTS at Flying Solo and the CADA collective and I also interviewed some more of the designers who walked this Fashion Week for Flying Solo. The last day I spent shooting street style and interviewing the well dressed attendees outside the shows so you will get see some of the great fashion on streets and not just on the runway. WildFang & Gender Neutral Dressing. The # of the moment For Lookbook Friday

[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Today I am sharing with you a new brand I discovered last month Wildfang. Not wholly new, they have been around for about seven years but new to the overall fashion industry. I discovered them the old school way—walking down the street. Some of you may have seen this in my Christmas 2019 vlog, but I was about and about with Rowena of Rolala Loves when we came across the WildFang store. We of course had to go inside and I was pleasantly surprised with this approachable gender neutral brand. The store was great and the staff was helpful without being pushy.[/dropcap]

Nehera SS2020 @PFW

[dropcap custom_class="whb"]I was lucky enough to attend the Nehera show when I was in Paris. The collection for Spring/Summer 2020 was refreshingly minimalist with an emphasis on color and draping with a touch to of athleisure wear. If you look close you can see me, I am standing in the center next to a young woman with blonde hair, though it is pretty dark. I hope you enjoy the show.[/dropcap]

Paris Fashion Week Vlog SS202

[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Well it is finally here, my Paris Fashion Week vlog. This was one of the busiest fashion weeks for me. From the ground breaking non gender specific African American owned Telfar opening fashion week to the forty two designer Flying Solo Collective I felt like I was running around non stop. This is a long video so grab the popcorn. From shows to presentations to shooting street style, pre-loved shopping, dinner with other influencers and outings with my Parisian family I was one busy and very tired fashionista. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I hope you enjoy my escapades...[/dropcap]

[dropcap custom_class="whbr"]Delicious as it is to have a long, languorous lunch, it isn’t always possible to have two bottles and let the hours slip away. Sometimes we need something snappy. The problem is, a whole set of denigrating values comes with the notion of fast food. Words commonly linked to the term include insipid, low quality, mass produced and so on. It is enough to have you reaching for a bottle at 1.00pm. This snootiness is simply not always justified any more.Back on the subject of her recent swimwear shoot: “I really prepared,” she admits. “I knew that if I didn’t look my best,[/dropcap]

Rick Owen In Paris SS 2019 & A tale of the two Susies

[bigletter]I was in a Rick Owens video! OK, not exactly. But I was lucky enough to attend the Rick Owens show for Spring/Summer 2019. My regular readers probably caught a glimpse of the Rick Owens show in my Paris vlog. It was held in the court yard of the Palais de Tokyo. I got there early to make sure I got a good seat and indeed I did, I had a birds eye view of the show sitting right above the staircase leading to the sunken courtyard. I found myself in the video as I remembered the two young men standing behind me in their white shirts and the German woman I was sitting next to and speaking with throughout the show.[/bigletter]
Rick Owens certainly has his finger on the pulse of this dystopian pallor that has fallen across the globe...
It was a warm day and you can see me filming. I wrote in a previous post that I almost cried at this show—a combination of seeing all the hard work coming to fruition, the expression of creativity in the clothing, and the undeniably dark apocalyptic feel to this presentation.
