The third show I attended this Fashion Week was Elf Sack for the Nolcha Shows. A vibrant quirky brand in a similar vein as Wild Fox, only less sex and more playful. Hello Kitty meets grandma chic could aptly describe this color-saturated kaleidoscope of a collection. Illustrative patterns, cheeky cartoon characters, grungy plaids, lady-like florals and polkadots are all represented. While boxy silhouettes and streetwear vibes play in to the casual yet statement making essence of the lineup. No wallflowers for the Elf Sack girl to be sure. Checkered puffer coats, patchwork pleated skirts, embellished jeans, two-toned Teva like sandals and even a bright green car coat in over-sized corduroy, intertwine in a joyful romp of child-like revelry. It has a little bit of granny chic and some details from Harajuku and 90s aesthetics, especially in the prints!
PS: My favorite piece was the green corduroy coat…. I want it right now!
