Festival season is quickly approaching with all it’s bohemian pomp and circumstance. A perfect excuse to channel your inner wood nymph, this boho inspired trend has found it’s way from the country side and desserts to the most sought after high fashion runways. And I will admit I love a flouncy part frock, but it is nice to change it up once in a while and dip one’s toe in less traveled waters.
So when Erin Fetherston unveiled her new pre-fall line for 2016 my heart skipped a beat. Known for her flirty cocktail and evening dresses, this collection is not a complete reinvention but it does embrace a more laid back and less formal approach. Florals (a festival staple) can be seen throughout the collection; from a variety of traditional daisy motif prints, to a more esoteric graphical interpretation of a daisy print, to daisy patterned lace. They lend an air of romance, but not too much, there is also an air of sophistication with a smart down town girl vibe flowing throughout the looks in this collection. Think Alexa Chung heading to an outdoor concert in Central Park. That perfect balance of effortless bohemian enchantment and edgy city girl, this lineup is the antidote to your “ I don’t know what to wear dilemma”. When you don’t know what your in the mood for, just throw on one of these easy breezy frocks and be rest assured, you got this!

My new summer mantra is that I always want to dress as Alexa Chung heading to an outdoor concert 😉 I’m seriously loving every piece from this collection. That gingham dress with the ruffles is my favorite. Also I wish I had that flowered throne chair in my house or backyard.
