add some Hello Kitty pink and an it girl or two and viola! The chicest girlie clothes this side of “I am so glad I am a woman!
Earlier this week I spoke about the pampered experience of shopping in a designer boutique. Well another wonderful designer boutique I like to visit when I am in Soho is Diane von Furstenberg’s beautiful store. While Michael Kors is all about sleek modernism with an edgy clean vibe, Diane’s classic, flirty, feminine and the seventies will always be a cool decade aesthetic, is all about your girlie side. Today were are looking at a sampling from her gorgeous Resort 2016 collection.
High-waisted uber wide legged trousers feature prominently throughout the collection and are balanced with more body con garments like the micro mini wrap dress in a floral and chevron pattern, and a slim fitting jumpsuit in an over-sized white lace. Black and white are the anchors of the lineup, with color introduced in a playful botanical pattern, and a hippie inspired motif which is found on a long broomstick skirt, and what can only be described as a patchwork overall dress. Though in this luxurious flowing fabric it is anything but granola. Diane’s trademark zebra pattern also makes an appearance as does the classic bow-tie blouse, which is shown in a variety of colors and prints most notably—polkadots. This whimsical classic pattern can be seen in other garments as well, such as dresses, trousers and shoes. And all of this hints at what’s in store for spring—just add some Hello Kitty pink and an it girl or two and viola! The chicest girlie clothes this side of “I am so glad I am a woman! And it was refreshing to see that Diane’s Spring show had one of the more diverse runways, you can watch it here
And ready for spring? Aren’t these looks gorge? Everything is ready for pre order, and be sure to have a look at this fun video and go behind the scenes at this iconic fashion house. And head on over to DVF.com to get in on all the action!

February 14, 2016DVF always has the most resplendent prints and designs. I am falling hard for some of these folk inspired prints, especially the patchwork and navy ensembles. So dreamy.
