Bold eye makeup is trending in a big way right now. From bright colored eyeliner to brilliant metallic eye shadows and extreme cat eyes it seems the bolder the better. This trend may not be for everyone but for those of you who are daring this trend can be liberating and fun. I am a former goth and I have mentioned before on the blog that at one point I considered becoming a makeup artist.
Much like fashion, I love the element of transformation that makeup embodies—being able to become a different person or express the inner you, or just being able to stand out in crowd
Much like fashion, I love the element of transformation that makeup embodies—being able to become a different person or express the inner you, or just being able to stand out in crowd. And much like Cinderella you can transform yourself in to a more daring, more extreme version of yourself, even if it is just for one night. And then? When your done? Just wash it all off. No harm no foul.
When I was younger and went out to clubs I relished in trying out different looks with my makeup. These days I don’t indulge in the nightlife scene very much so unfortunately I don’t wear bold makeup too often, I mean a band of navy eye shadow just may be a bit much for the office. But there is Fashion Week and a wonderful excuse to pull off a bold look. So I just may be revisiting my bold makeup days. So what say you? Do you do bold makeup? If not would you consider trying it out for a special event? Or are you a strictly naked kind of girl?

July 27, 2016I really do like the look of bold eye makeup on other people but since I’m rubbish at doing eye makeup, I’ll just have to admire on others. The most I can manage is a smokey eye and that took alot of practice. Maybe I should take one of those makeup classes that Sephora offers.

July 27, 2016It’s so cute! I would totally try this!

July 27, 2016Oh, I couldn’t comment on the Proenza Schouler’s post, but this one is open! I love bold eye makeup, I do war some bold eyeshadows, but not so bold like the makeup here, although it looks great! I think it’s lovely when we see on other people, but I am a bit shy to wear that, I think. I would like to try, why not? To be flexible is always good, I suppose!

July 27, 2016I love bold makeup but… I lack the skill to do it right. In fact, I can’t do any makeup right. I try and try but without outside help, I’m flailing. I’m almost at the point of hiring someone to teach me. I don’t know how else I can learn. The current styles are so attractive to me.

July 27, 2016I sometimes do wear bold eye look but it’s just me trying to practise my eyes makeup application. Usually I just stick to a very neutral look with a bright bold lips, that is pretty much my signature look.

July 28, 2016I sometimes have a make up person add fake eyelashes, and I thinking about extensions. I tend to add a subtle layer of blue or green eyeliner, and that is all, onl because I canr see pulling off a more expert look, and at my age, subtle make up is the best for me.
But I would say go for it Allie, You could rock this look!

July 28, 2016I like it on others. I feel with my strong features it looks kind of ridiculous on me, but so fun to try!

July 28, 2016I have nothing against bold eye makeup, but I suck at makeup, so count me out. The skills just isn’t there and I find it time consuming. Ha!! BUT in all honesty it looks good on people.

July 28, 2016I love the bold eye trend! I’ve been wearing some bright blue on my waterline as a way to add it in but not be too bold!
