T he Chloé aesthetic is certainly my aesthetic. I love the independent yet girly vibe of  the brand. And the Resort Collection for 2016 fully embraces this aesthetic and adds a new bohemian twist to the looks. From the over-sized flare jeans to the studded man tailored trousers to the flowing eyelet dresses and repeated use of leopard print, the line straddles the fence between boho chic and London Mod Carneby Street style. The soft palette of beige, cream, dusty pink, black, white and gray gives the collection a dreamy renaissance feel. The opposing  dualism of billowing  feminine silhouettes with the more man tailored pieces speaks to the independent beat the brand marches to, plus you will never be bored. Feeling girly—throw on one of the layered ruffled dresses. Feeling a bit more rebellious? Those man tailored studded trousers and a moto jacket will have you covered. Feeling sophisticated? The black sequined top and flowing lace skirt will have you feeling like you are having a red carpet moment. And who wouldn’t want a moment like that? This editorial looks breathtaking

  6. Is it strange that I look at the brand Chloé more as a handbag brand than clothes? I’ve been lusting (yes, L-U-S-T-I-N-G) for a Chloé handbag for ages but my husband would need to get a third job and then some for me to even come close to owning one. LOL!

I’m usually not a huge fan of loose, almost shapeless clothes but I must admit that this collection is lovely. It has a soft romantic feel to it and with a touch of bohemian vibe makes it a winner.

Happy Friday, Ali and wishing you a great weekend!
