R egular readers of my blog know that I generally do not wear heels higher then three inches, and most of the time I wear heels that two inches or less. I often wear sneakers as they are comfortable and luckily for me, super on trend. That said, I don’t always want to wear sneakers, but, when I am looking at a day spent walking all over the city, the thought of heels even when they are under two inches does not thrill me. The other day when I was online at Starbucks waiting for my coffee, I noticed a young women wearing a pair of gray suede booties that were totally flat—no heel. They were slightly pointed, and had a cute little zipper on the side. This was not the first time I had seen someone wearing boots like this, and I made a mental note to make sure I make an effort to track down a pair of these boots. Being almost 5’8” a pair of boots like these are just to good to be true. No heel, chic and not sneakers? Sign me up! But I know not everyone is 5’8”, and I know not everyone has modelesque proportions, and not everyone desires to shorter then they are. Do you think one has to be tall and thin to pull off a pair of boots with no heel? I generally feel “not quite polished”, if I am not wearing some kind of heel, but with the sporty chic trend, this feeling is staring to change, and I must admit, it does make life a bit easier living in a city like New York. So, would you wear a pair of booties with no heel? How often do you go sans heels? And if you would wear a pair of boots like these, Sam Edelman currently have a pair that come in taupe, camel and black. Oh boy I don’t think I am going to stick to my shopping ban.

I am a little girl so I like it when my shoes have a little heel so I can be a little bit taller 🙂

I like flats and low heels I’m 5’3″ so I guess is all base on preference.
Oh sweet Edelman booties. I am a fan of “cuban” heel boots, simply because they are the only heels I can walk around in. Living barefoot on a beach for the past 20 years has ruined my chances of even dreaming about wearing high heels boots again. Lucky then that sneakers/flats and cuban heels are popular.
I always wear lower heel booties. I have a pair from Target that look just like those Sam Edleman boots. I love them and I’m only 5’2. The heel is perfect for walking around everyday.
Those boots are really cute! I live in flat shoes 🙂
I must admit that I really like those booties but don’t own them myself. They look super cute and pretty so I really need to look around for something like that 😉 I don’t mind wearing booties with no heels thought I must admit that I always feel prettier with heels on, haha

I’m 5’6″ and I hardly ever wear heels anymore thanks to my janky ankle but most of my boots are between 1″ to 2 1/2″ high anyway. I definitely value comfort but I think one can be comfortable and stylish at the same time.
Those boots sound amazing, it’s definitely harder to pull off when you aren’t super lanky, but we still like the looks with a cute pair of skinny jeans. xx
I’m the same way with heels, I generally only go for a kitten heel because it’s much more practical. But when it comes to booties/boots I usually don’t discriminate. However, being 5’2 I do tend to go for a heel, even if it’s just a slight one. But I think even tall girls should feel comfortable rocking a heel – being tall is beautiful!

I usually like a little heel on a bootie but I’m sure booties without a heel look nice and are more comfortable. I don’t know if I’d like the look on me and I don’t do well with pointed shoes but it’s definitely something I think a lot of people would consider.
I do both, low and flat heel booties. I love them so much, and I am not that tall. I’m only 5″3″, but I really don’t feel that you have to be tall and skinny to wear them. I have some like in the picture, and I love to wear them with shorts, hehe!

I LOVE wearing low heeled booties for it’s practicalities of it. I certainly don’t want to be walking around the city is super high heels but I do love me some high heels. I’m 5’5″ so I like to add a little bit of height. I guess I like both flat and heeled; it just depends on the situation.
I’m not particularly tall, so I love wearing heels, although they aren’t always that comfortable so I do love booties without a heel as well 🙂

You ask a great question. I’m not tall and sometimes I feel I look funny in flats, like it makes me look stumpy or something. I’ve never really looked at a taller person and how they carry flats though. I have a lot of friends so I’ll be sure to analyse the next time I see them lol!

I love a good mix. Nothing beats a killer pair of heels, but I have invested some time (and cash!) building up my cute flat collection: ankle boots, brogues, and ballet flats galore. 🙂

I am like you. I love pretty heels and while I have some stunning pairs I honestly rarely wear them unless I know I am going to be on my feet virtually none that day. I have a few pairs of no heel ankle boots and I love them but I have on more than a few times wondered if I am too short to wear them and look good.
I don’t know if you have to be tall, I am 5’9 and I enjoy wearing heels, at night. In the day I hate it and I never understand women who wear heels for running around. You can say that they are comfortable, but I swear being Italian I am a good heel wearer, but they never can be as comfortable as flats. Love booties with no heel!

I am just a bit taller and wear flat riding boots a lot. It all depends on the rest of the outfit too, for me. I love heels, but wear both, flats and heels. Those grey ones sound perfect. I have been looking for a new pair of grey boots actually. 🙂
I love a low heeled bootie. Truthfully, that’s all I wear. I walk in NYC all the time and I need a stylish shoe because there is no way I’m changing it lol. It’s cold outside lol. I like high heels, but my shoes all range in height. Some-days I feel like a heel, sometimes I don’t. And Happy Birthday my fellow Aqaurian 🙂
