Fashion Week is right around the corner and the craziness is about to begin. I love the excitement and the over the top looks that don the streets both here and in Paris. It is all about expressing your individuality and it seems bold is always in when it comes to FW street style. So today we are looking at one of the quintessential fashion houses that embodies this sense of fashion independence—Gucci.

Gucci’s lineup for Pre-Fall has all the classic elements associated with this icon brand. Striking graphical prints, an array of textures and finishes and a myriad of exquisite details. Plaid? Fringes? Florals? Lace? Tartan? Snakeskin? Why yes to all please. Muted neutrals tones clash happily with vibrant pop art colors, while sequins and velvet play well with satin, chiffon and knits.

A parade of eclectic and beautifully crafted pieces that offer up a limit-less expression of creativity and grace

Tartan Ponchos, ruffle tired maxies, A-line sixties era frocks and a plethora of midi-skirts are mixed and matched in patch-work like dream of old-lady chic. Add bell-sleeved top coats with over-sized ribbons, an icon emblazoned suit, a black and white asymmetrical skirt set, and a sea of head to toe dresses in an explosion of pattern and color and you have heart of Gucci. And the bags? A parade of eclectic and beautifully crafted pieces that offer up a limit-less expression of creativity and grace. Need I say more?

  3. The details and print mixing of this collection are next level! And no surprise the bags are fab.

I’m not sure what I’m doing for NYFW. The only event I’ve committed to is NYFW Cocktails and Conversation. I have show invites but don’t know if I feel like going to any of them.

  4. I love the mix of colours, print and texture, it’s always done so interestingly at Gucci! 🙂 Not entirely sold on the red socks and sandals under the green dress though – beautiful dress otherwise, ha!

I hope that you are having a lovely weekend 🙂 We went to a strawberry farm yesterday with the boys which was so fun 🙂

  5. OMG to the Gucci Fall collection!! I love so many pieces and I’m totally inspired by it. Love the black tote bag so much, and not to mention the color blocking coat and black and white pleated dress. You always have the best lookbook Allie, I want to comeback and see more!!

    Much Love,

  6. I really like the pleated skirts!

  7. Whoa! I have had such a hectic summer that I had forgotten about FW altogether – you can guess I am not attending any event this year, but always enjoy seeing sartorial creativity oozing from the streets of NY and Paris. Some of these stylings are so gorgeous! Hope you are having a nice Sunday, Allie

  8. I think my bank balance might actually be safe!! I usually love Gucci, but I’m not feeling the need to have any of these.
