I will be in Paris in a few short weeks so I have Parisian brands on my mind. I hope to visit a few of my favorite shops when I am there but with all the running around with Fashion Week I am not sure I will get the chance. So with that in mind I am sharing with you today the much sought after brand Paul & Joe’s Fall collection for 2019. And it is quite the cat’s meow. Creative director Sophie Mechaly’s beloved kitty is back. Donning a fun graphical tee and lounging in effortless style this nonchalant feline sets the tone for the rest of the lineup in it’s “I didn’t try to hard to be cool aesthetic”.
With it’s distinctive Parisian I just rolled out of bed chic the collection for fall is both sophisticated and playful. Known for her impeccably tailored trousers this season it seems dresses and skirts have taken center stage. Ruffles, asymmetrical hemlines, pleats, maxis, midis, and straight cut silhouettes all find a home.
You will also find the expected pants suit albeit in unexpected satin, as well as tuxedo blazers, plaid skirt suits, pussy bow blouses and plenty of outerwear. From unstructured camel knit trenches, to over-sized teddy coats, to leopard print and shearling and even a graphical moto jacket; there is plenty to chose from to defend oneself from the elements.
As my regular readers know I am quite the fan of the Parisian go to of effortless style. And Paul & Joe certainly deliver.
