Known for unconventional tailoring and deconstructed silhouettes Moohong’s collection for SS2020 walked the line between the expected and the non traditional. Often descried as counter-intuitive Moohong’s garments do indeed appear at first glance to be off kilter in a vaguely unsettling way. The lineup of SS2020 reflected this sentiment in multi-structural pieces like the double structured blazers, duo waist trousers and sleeve-tie button down tops. Where one feels a sense of being just a bit out of sorts but also intrigued. Patterns were kept to a minim and only appeared as tone on tone stripes and basic plaids and were used sparingly. Solids dominated while satin like finishes and metallics added interest and variation to the more understated fabrics.
A minimalist palette and lack of traditional detailing were balanced by the less formal lines and out of the box shapes, while loser cuts and impeccably draped asymmetrical dresses lent the collection an air of dare I say—feminine mystic. Two opposing approaches come together in a cohesive yet atypical expression of vitality.

I always think it’s interesting to see deconstructed looks, it reminds you of how fashion can be anything but traditional. It might not be the most wearable thing though, but love the playful side of it! Xx

Hey Allie, hope everything is going well! I imagine the end of fashion month was exhausting!
This is my first time seeing something from Moohong but I really love that they are focusing in shapes and patterns, in my opinion one of the most important things when it comes to develop a collection…. I feel like this is something that could reach to a great level if they keep doing things this way, they have a very clear concept of what they want.
Best and thanks for your comments always!
Oooh all the slouch in this collection- loving it!

Beautiful and unique collection, so mamy interesting pieces!
As much as I sometimes enjoy vibrant colours, I have to admit there is something timelessly elegant about neutral ones. I think neutral colours can be like a blank canvas. They shift focus on structure and cut. The silhouettes of this Moohong collection are hauntingly beautiful. Such a great collection.
Oooh! I like the vibes from Moohong. It really goes for the opposite vibe where loose is good. The colors look really contemporary too, which is my kind of personality. Thanks for sharing! I love these pieces!
