Today for Lookbook Friday we are looking at some pieces from J&M Davidson’s SS2018 line. A British company originally know for hand bags and belts they now make women’s ready-to-wear and are a much sought after brand in the UK with additional stores in Japan. Founded by husband wife John and Monique Davidson in 1984, the London based retailer is success story born out of love, talent and an unwavering desire to create unique pieces inspired by the couples travels across the globe.

The spring line for 2018 is inspired minimalism with semi-masculine silhouettes of dropped waists, A-Line tops, kimono jackets and over-sized suits. It is also peppered with more feminine pieces reflected in the broomstick peasant dresses and softly embroidered floral tone on tone patterned textiles. The bags are smart and modern, and keep to the minimalist aesthetic with the occasional embellishment to add just the right amount of interest to balance the keen sense of the unadorned that is the heart of this collection.

    You can definitely see their inspiration, and the minimalism is evident. I love the navy bags along with the black fringe skirt, those are my favourites.
