My regular readers know I am a big fan of effortless Parisian chic. That I didn’t try to hard, eclectic blend of savvy fashion know how and I just threw this together nonchalant appeal. And Hellesey embodies this heady aesthetic with a quirky spirit and elegant romance. The brand is a hit with well known celebs and social media darlings. Not surprising given the labels homage to all that is too chic to be cool.
The lineup for Fall 2019 is a fierce statement of vibrant jewel tones and stately prints. Out of the box silhouettes and asymmetrical lines dominate the collection while more traditional suits and bottoms give a sense of stability and ease.
There is a seventies inspired flair with a nod to the eighties expressed in the dropped waist jumpsuits and boxy frocks. Add modern over-sized sleeves and cutouts, a bold stars and stripes print and plenty of floppy boho hats and you have a collection de celebration, a joyous ode to feminine mystique.
