Fashion month is wrapping up this week in Paris. So wish I could have been there. I have been following along with all the happenings abroad on Instagram and YouTube via a number of influencers. One can’t argue that these social platforms have become the go to for coverage and I hope that my coverage is beneficial and that you find it enlightening and fun.
For those of you that follow me regularly you had a sneak peek of what I wore to NYFW. Today I am bringing you a closer look. I wore pink, red, peach and gold. Red and pink are definitely having a moment, even my photographer observed this was a trend she noticed while shooting street style, so I was certainly in good company.
I had a very positive experience with them. I placed the order at about 1 PM on a Friday and I had it by Saturday afternoon
Four of the pieces I wore I rented from Rent The Runway and I must say I had a very positive experience with them. I placed the order at about 1 PM on a Friday and I had it by Saturday afternoon, I believe it arrived around 4:30 PM. And when it came time to return the items I just took them to the store on 15th street in Manhattan. The return was seamless—all I needed to do was scan the items in at the return kiosk and that was it. You can mail them in as well, but I personally prefer doing the return in the store.
I signed up for the $89/month plan in which you can borrow four items at time and you can keep them for a month. As stated everything arrived within 24 hours or so and everything fit. I like that I can do the returns at the store, however I can not borrow items in the store at the $89 plan. You can only do this a la cart or on the unlimited plan which is $159/month. That would be the one caveat. I think for $89/month you should also have the option to borrow in the store as well as online. Though the representative I spoke with said that this may be reconsidered in the future which is also stated on the website so I hope that it does change.
it was very warm and long so it kept me cozy while looking super chic and fashion forward
In the meantime lets move on to what I was wearing. The coat is from Same Day and was perfect for FW in February—it was very warm and long so it kept me cozy while looking super chic and fashion forward. One day I paired it with a gold pleated A-Line top from Opening Ceremony. This top is super dramatic and was a bit hard to style but once I figured it out I thought this piece really took my look to the next level. I paired it with my Zara pleated skirt and my Michael Korrs dad sneakers.
The next day I wore the coat with a three tiered ruffle metallic skirt from Delfi Collective which I wore with my retro-style white Sandro top that I picked up in Paris. I finished off the look with hot pink tights and my white Sam Edelman ankle boots. And for an additional pop of color I added my red Hello Kitty bag from Pinko. I love this bag. I got this bag for my Birthday and I could not be happier. Have any of you used Rent The Runway? And would you consider a monthly subscription?

Look at all of that fabulous color! Red and pink is one of my favorite color combinations. Somehow it always manages to look fresh. That tiered ruffle metallic skirt is such a style standout! A few of friends work with RTR and they had had positive experiences as well.
I’m not surprised you were in good company with these colours as you look like a true fashionista in them! Love how you combined the pieces and such a concept makes not only for the FW really sense. Thanks for sharing you as wonderful inspiration!

Both looks that you wore to fashion week are gorgeous! I love that statement skirt with the beautiful colors and the sneakers were a great choice for the other outfit. I have heard a lot about Rent The Runway but I’ve never personally used it. Being able to rent 4 items and keep them for a month for that price sounds great, although I agree that being able to pick something from the store would be nice. It’s so interesting to see how fashion has changed with being able to rent pieces.

You look very stylish for NYFW! Cute Hello Kitty Bag!
Hooray for pleats! I love the tiered skirt 🙂
Love those splashes of color!! Love!! <3
Your multi-coloured tiered pleated metallic skirt, the blouse you styled with it, and the pretty blouse styled with the sharply pleated skirt all looked gorgeous. You looked stunning wearing them.
Totally love the outfit and I agree for such events, it is always good to Rent An Outfit rather than splurge for what would be a one time wear. Likewise in Singapore, I have been with StyleTheory.sg and it has certainly help me through those festive periods where I am one of those who don’t necessarily like to wear a cocktail dress twice!
Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE LOVE YOUR BAG!!! It’s so fantastic!! Great outfit, love how you styled it.
I like both outfits a lot Allie. Stylish, but also oh-so comfortable to run around tackling the busy fashion week timetable. Somewhere around last week, I checked rent the runway out. I’ve a couple of wedding coming and thinking of renting a gown from them. Will check em out again for sure.

I absolutely love the first outfit — both are lovely — the colours especially are my favourite. I love the Zara and Sam Edelman pieces so much!
Of course your styling is stellar here. I especially love that multicolored and tiered skirt . Beautiful combinations of colors and textures. I wouldn’t use that service because I have so many clothes already. But I do see it as such a viable platform and my daughter loves it as well.

That colorful skirt is just so pretty though! And love the second metallic outfit as well, really chic with the more glossy style that contrasts the coat. Have a lovely week! Xx

Hello allie
Here in Portugal there are no companies of this kind with monthly plans but this is great for those who want to have a wardrobe always renovated. I liked much more this second outfit, the skirt is wonderful and the bag too.

That is such a great deal. I mean 4 pieces for under $100 a month sounds great to me. I wish Australia had more options like this but I think the damage from the fake Dior skirt with “Borrow my Balmain” (a rental program) that blew up on Insta with Diet Prada has pretty much tarnished it for now. I love the Same Day jacket. That is such a statement piece. You look beautiful Allie, we need you and your style fronting the camera instead of behind it more often! :o)

Absolutely loving your skirt dear! Such a fun way to wear colors. And perfect heels to style it with too!
