MMules are back. Any self respecting fashionista is aware of this, but that does not mean we are all on board with the trend. Many of us think of the clunky hippy versions that were popular a decade or so ago, but todays crop are anything but clunky. From stiletto heels to stud encrusted heels to mesh and shearling trimmed uppers, mules are one of the chicest pieces you can add to your wardrobe.
I was sitting on the train the other day one stop away from Spring Street were I get off for work when I noticed a young women sitting across from me wearing a pair of peep toe mules. They had a chunky heel and a strap and were in a sort of gun metal gray color. She wore them with a pair of skinny jeans, a basic tee and a cropped moto jacket. Her look was simple, but the addition of the mules really pulled the whole outfit together and gave her a polished “I have cool NYC job” kinda vibe. This renewed my desire to acquire a pair of mules so I will have my eyes peeled for sure. And to that end I pulled together some uber pricy pairs–I mean I could spend my entire tax return on these Altuzarra beauties, but I probably won’t, so I also included some more affordable options. I love these “green” mules from Top Shop, and at $129 they are oh so affordable. I just wish they came with lower heel. But they certainly are sexy, and with such a chunky heel and strap walking in them should be a breeze. So, do you do the mule trend? If not would you consider it?

I love the Coach pair but I’m not a mule fan.
Hi Allie! So funny, that same top image caught my eye on the internet this morning. I’m not sure I’m going to do the mule thing this time around as I am not in the right environment to get away with it, but it’s definitely a fun trend! Hoping your September has been a sweet one! I am back blogging again ~ have missed you!

Love those Fendi mules!!
I’m a mule-trend convert. 🙂 Bought a pair of casual gray leather mules and I love ’em! Now hunting for a dressy, pointed-toe pair.

Though I’m not usually a huge fan of mules you are definitely convincing me with those stellar picks! Wow, loving (the Altuzarra’s especially!) xo
Loving the looks you pulled and nothing better than a good pair of mules to add a splash to any look. That train outfit sounds adorable and good luck on your shoe hunt!! xx
I don’t think I have ever owned a pair of mules but they are definitely starting to win me over. I love the idea of wearing them with jeans and a basic tee.
I love the way this trend looks. Especially with the straps at the ankle!
I am so conflited with these. I hate them. They remind me of the 90’s kind that had a larger peep toe opening so toes were gangling out. Some versions today are still reminiscent of them which is why I hold back still. I don’t know, maybe if I try a pair on it may change my mind.

There are some that are definitely cuter than others. I like most of the ones you picked out. The black pair would have to be my favorite.
