I am a big fan of Miu Miu, though it is often outside my price range. I love the quirky aesthetic and emphasis on color and texture. And the pre-fall line up embraces this doctrine in a retro-esque homage to the classics of the past while injecting a decidedly modern approach to the pieces. With a nod to the nineteen twenties and more then a nod to the nineteen fifties this collection celebrates the more traditional silhouettes when one didn’t have to show a lot of skin to feel fashionable.

Quite a departure from the lookbook we looked at last week. Though just as a feminine, this lineup is at once flirty and has a bit of a tomboy feel. From tartan to gingham to tweed and checks to florals and leopard print patterns are central theme to the collection.
