Hands up who has a pair of midi or mid-calf boots? I can proudly say I have two pairs. Midi boots are all the rage right now—higher then ankle boots but lower then knee-high, midi boots or mid calf boots generally fall between a little above the ankle to halfway up the calf. I particularly like the ones that really hug your leg like these from Aldo but the boxy ones like this pair that I bought from Aldo and wrote about in this post are fun too. Well you could have one of each right? Really a girl can never have too many pairs of boots.
Here Lauren of The Mary Stop styled her midi boots from Schultz Shoes with a pair of zippered skinny jeans, a textured multi-colored cardi and wide brimmed hat for a down-town boho look. Lauren does boho better then anyone else I know of, except maybe Rachel Zoe.
Looking for something a bit more rugged and easier to walk in? Then a buckle wedge midi boot could be just what you need if you are going to walking around a bit. Cheryl of the blog Oh to Be a Muse paired her rugged wedge boots from Sorel with basic jeans, a simple blouse in a bright color, and a denim jacket for a more casual look. Perfect for running around.
Western style midi boots, who knew? This pair from Isabel Marant are GORGEOUS and the color is to die for! I saw another pair of suede boots in this color at the Isabel Marant store in Soho and I can tell you, it is just as great looking in person. Alicia from Cheetah is the New Black was lucky enough to score these at The Outnet before they sold out, so smart of her to snatch these up when she had the chance.
Here is another example of a midi boot in a color besides black: these beautiful caramel colored suede boots work wonderfully with the distressed jeans. The contrast of the dressy boot with the more casual denim pant and tweed like over-coat makes this look a show stopper. To see more of this look head on over to Walk in Wonderland.
And for a dressy look, midi boots in white, with pompoms, and a white dress? Yes, yes and yes! Jess of Not Jess Fashion has created quite the trend setting look with her ensemble. These BCBG boots really up the glam factor. How could one not feel glamorous in a pair of these? And guess what? They are over %50 off right now! So if you want to do the midi boot trend and not spend a lot of money head over to BCBG.com like now!
