Hello my lovely readers. I want to thank you all for your kind words on my last post. As one can imagine losing one’s mother is not the easiest. And things could not be more challenging in these times of a pandemic. Though we did not lose our mom due to COVID but from complications of cancer. Sadly my mom did not have life insurance. I wanted to have a much simpler funeral but my sister wanted a full burial. Unfortunately she does not have the funds to pay for the funeral so for the time being it is on me to pay for it. Funerals are quite expensive and the bill was over 10k. I started a GoFundMe to raise 3k to help off set the costs. Any contribution is appreciated I know we are living in trying times and funds are tight. Thank you all again for being such loyal readers and again for all your kind words. I hope you are able to have the funeral and the gathering you want for your mum – they have lifted restrictions here for funerals but I know they had to be pretty small when there were more cases around 🙁

November 19, 2020You have my deepest heartfelt sympathy and condolences on the loss of your mum.
She looked gorgeous in the photo above, and I can only imagine how beautiful her voice must have been.
I doubt you will ever get over her loss, but hopefully, with time, getting through it will be less painful. 28 years later I still miss my mum. Fortunately I was able to afford to see a therapist up until Covid-19 caused her to discontinue her in-person sessions.
I hope you will continue getting donations through GoFundMe to help defray some of the costs.
