[dropcap custom_class="normal"]S[/dropcap]pring has arrived in a big way this weekend, in fact it felt more like summer. With temperatures above normal after two months of temperatures being below normal it was a bit of shock, but in a good way. Friday started out cold and rainy and ended warm and sunny with temperatures in the low seventies, it was a perfect evening to step out for dinner and drinks with some fellow bloggers.
Spring Coats and a Girl Who Can’t Make Up Her Mind, What Do You Look For in a Spring Coat?
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]S[/dropcap]pring is finally here in NY and I am so ready to do a little spring shopping. I feel like after the major spring cleaning that I did a few weeks ago I should reward myself with a little spring shopping. I got a fairly nice tax return and even had a dream I went out shopping and spent $500…well I will not be doing that, but I will be purchasing a spring coat. As I have spoken about before on the blog I struggle with coats—it seems they never quite fit right, t
New Beauty Magazine and an Experiential Night of Beauty in New York City
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]W[/dropcap] ho doesn’t love a night filled with beauty, wine and swag. Well last Thursday evening I was enjoying all of these benefits and then some at New Beauty Magazine’s Experiential Night of Beauty in celebration of their ten year anniversary. I attended the event with fellow blogger Renata of Purse Fixation who looked lovely in her pale pink bow blouse which was a nice contrast to my black H to T ensemble. I wore a black Alice and Olivia dress with a fitted black blazer from H&M, yes it is officially spring but with 35 degree temperatures and rain, I dressed accordingly.
J Crew Fall/Winter 2015 For Lookbook Friday
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]Y[/dropcap]es,once again J Crew has knocked it out of the park. With a sophisticated, dare I say pop art approach with it’s solid swatches of primary colored garments paired with floral prints, dusty pastels, jewel-toned textiles, bold patterns, multi-hued feathers and sumptuious fabrics this collection feels simultaneously regal and fresh. The straight cut, knee-grazing skirts with their side waist bows worn demurely with draping turtlenecks stand lady-like along side the flirty leather fringe numbers, the feathered
Flare Jeans, Fashion Over Reason, and a 70s Inspired H to T Look to Love
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]A[/dropcap] few weeks ago in this post I wrote about the 70’s inspired trend and in particular flare cut jeans and trousers. I looked at wide cut trousers and how to style them. This trend is still fairly new, though it has been tried before in recent fashion history but did not catch on. In fact, I remember about eight years ago when I was still living in Seattle, seeing flare jeans in the stores
MAC Mineralize Concealer and a Journey of Trial and Error and New Discoveries
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]C [/dropcap] oncealer is a tricky necessity. I am sure there are a lucky few that do not need concealer but for the rest of us girls we wouldn’t be caught dead without concealer in our makeup bags. Though the funny thing about concealer, is that although it may be “concealing” something we do not want to see, it can also be very noticeable in of itself.
Next Issue and old school subscriptions for those who love the art of publishing.
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]I[/dropcap] remember when I was a kid how excited I was when I got to look at my mom’s magazines. They transported me to exciting places and allowed me to escape from the drudgery of my daily life. When I would whine to my mom “I’m bored” and felt that I would die from the crushing weight of having “nothing to do” magazines were a godsend.

Sharp pastels, saturated reds and yellows, crisp navy, mossy green, traditional neautrals and bone make for a clean but vibrant color palette.
Porter Magazine, a Striped Tee and Banishing the Winter Blues
[dropcap custom_class="normal"]L[/dropcap] ast week was a rough week, we are working a huge project at work and it seems everything that could go wrong did, so we are currently a week behind. And in NY we endured yet another snow storm—the snow is so high outside my house that it comes up to my waist in some spots. It was a balmy 22 degrees on Friday and I was astounded to find out this weekend is Daylight Savings,

[dropcap custom_class="normal"]Y[/dropcap] es it is post Fashion Week here in New York and all the attention has moved across the pond, but what a Fashion Week it was.
