Plaid blazers are still trending so when I saw this one at a thrift store at a whopping $12.99 I snatched it up. I was shopping in an over-sized thrift store in the basement of a large flea market somewhere on Long Island. I don’t drive so I am not super familiar with where everything is, my step brother was driving and we taking my step niece shopping. She was visiting from Paris and wanted to do mostly pre-loved shopping. The day before we went to Williamsburg and hit up Cross Roads, Buffalo Exchange and Beacons Closet. I picked up some great pieces and hope to do a haul video soon on my second hand finds.
Today I am featuring the two pieces I picked up at the thrift store on Long Island. The blazer was priced at $12.99 and is from The Loft. The second piece I picked up was the baguette bag. It is a Franco Sarto and I thought the purple shade was quite pretty. Not the most practical of bags, but so fun and nice to have a bag that you can just tuck under your shoulder. It took a bit of getting use to.
A great pair of basic black slides, always a great addition to one’s wardrobe
I kept trying to push it further back like a larger bag when I realized I did’t have to do this.It was priced at $14.99 but when I got the cash wrap I discovered it was %50 off day so the bag was $7.00 and the jacket was $6.00!
The top is old and is from H&M. The white jeans are from Gap and are supposed to be be high waisted and they do have a rather long zipper. However on me they still fall below my belly button. I have a fairly long torso and this can make shopping for jeans, trousers, jumpsuits and overalls a little challenging. To me these jeans still look a bit like hip huggers. And finally the shoes are also pre-loved. I paid $15 for them and they are from Adrienne Vittadini. A great pair of basic black slides, always a great addition to one’s wardrobe.
So there you have it, a sustainable look that is a combination of shopping my closet and shopping pre-loved. The only thing that is new are the sunnies which are a Chloe knock off. Sun glasses are the one item I still buy via a fast fashion. I don’t spend a lot of money on them because I lose them so easily. Next up will be a look with much more of a summer vibe. But will feature all pre-loved threads and pieces I already own.
