A striking A-line silhouette dominates this left of center collection. Creating a streamlined cascading effect with many of the garments featuring extended dropped waists and fitted streamlined cuts above the waist. This is balanced by traditional body con pieces and fitted straight cut knit dresses as a nod to the leisure inspired track suit dress. On the opposite end of the spectrum there are uber wide fit trousers, dropped waist peplum and tiered ruffled skirts. Graphical prints of polkadots contrast with florals while fishnet, feathers and embroidered details lend an air of edgy rebellion. Prominent laced up “fasteners” and over-sized tie closures are the hallmark of the collection and add a dimension of unexpected sex appeal. A simple palette of white, black, gray and red keeps the emphasis on the deconstruction element of the lineup, while also allowing the textures to take center stage. And with out of box takes on the OTS trend and layered asymmetrical one of a kind pieces, this is one collection that won’t be easy to forget.

  1. Great fashion to long for me since I’m short but so elegant, have a lovely weekend.

  2. The structure and tailoring are always standout in Proenza Schouler’s collections and this one is no exception. The details also keep the visual interest going.

  4. This collection is like modern art to me, I don’t get it. The only piece that I like is the first picture, it’s beautiful and sophisticated. Not so sure how I feel about the others that I see here.

  11. I am always impressed by this designer. The looks are cohesive and unique, wearable and have a bit of drama. I have a similar coat, but without the red, from this designer, and it is mohair! Not fur and not chemically laden fux fur.
Love the last pieces, in both colors, is that fur, or pins?
