New-Years-Eve-Wedding-Sequin-Wedding-Dress-Bridal-Musings-Wedding-Blog--630x945

Well the new year is almost upon us. I hope everyone has some festive events planned. I am keeping it pretty mellow this year and having drinks with some close friends. Life has been quite hectic as of late. I got involved with a blogger collective and changed jobs so needless to say I have been feeling a bit frazzled. I have been burning the candle at both ends, so when my down time roles around I try to keep it low key. However what I do love about New Years Eve is getting dressed up—such a fun excuse to step out in your best frock. But then again, who says it has to be a frock?

I just love how the blogger Jennifer of Haute Off The Rack styled her look for New Years Eve, I mean sequin leggings? So cool! And speaking of cool how about a moto jacket for the big night, wear it with a floor length black tulle skirt like Carla of Fashion Through My Eyes and you just may knock someone’s socks off, how gorgeous is this?

a short tulle skirt ala Carrie Bradshaw in Paris could be the perfect solution to ring in the new year

I just love this look and so wish I had an event to go to so I could wear something like this. Now if a long skirt is too formal for you, a short tulle skirt ala Carrie Bradshaw in Paris could be the perfect solution to ring in the new year. You could pair it with a moto jack or a soft white sweater or a sequined tank or bustier but you what ever you chose to pair it with, you will be sure to look fabulously en vogue. And I don’t know about you, but nothing says “let’s ring in the new year” then a gold sequined dress. I have never worn a gold sequined dress but I would love to. And if I did I would keep the fit loose like this one, a tight sequin dress? Hmm not so much. I want to look elegant not flashy. But whatever you do for New Years Eve you can not go wrong with sequins and tulle. And Happy New Year!

  2. Great Tulle and Sequins May 2016 be filled with Joy.

  3. I feel you about keeping it mellow. Being in midtown on NYE is way too hectic for my blood. It’s time for chocolate truffles, champagne, and a healthy dose of movie marathoning.

    Happy New Year!

  5. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, Ali but nevertheless, I think (hope) a congratulation is in order for your new job. Changing jobs are always stressful because you need to get adjusted into a new environment but I’m sure you’ll be brilliant!
