W e all know the seventies trend is huge right now. But not all was good with the fashion of the seventies, there were many trends and styles that did, and should stay firmly in the seventies. What is nice about current trends being influenced by the styles of the past, is that the second time around it can be done right. And it seems Frida Giannini got the memo. Gucci’s pre fall collection for 2015 is a breathtaking ensemble of sumptuous fabrics, rich textiles, a jewel toned palette and a glamorous silhouette of long fitted looks juxtaposed against flared trousers, flood cut pants, billowing blouses and beautiful artful prints. Pleats, tweeds, shearling, leather, suede, and studs all find a home in this enchanting collection. From the vibrant red suede flared trousers to the more forties inspired look of tweed culottes, embroidered sweater, camel colored car coat and saddle shoe pumps, to the dreamy shearling trimmed trench, and the multitude of romantic and uber feminine dresses Gucci’s line for pre-fall 2015 is a stunner. With a youthful vibrancy and a sophisticated aesthetic, the pieces in this collection will stand the test of time and rest assured having one of these garments in your fashion repertoire is an investment well made. Wow factor post with stunning fashion. Have a great weekend.
I love this collection and nothing says Fall like the saturated color palette in these beautiful clothes. I love how you described the clothes as having a youthful yet sophisticated look at the same time.

These clothes are absolutely beautiful!! I love that green gown, so fantastic. Gucci has beautiful clothing. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.
What a sophisticated take on seventies style. The silhouettes and color palette are both really beautiful!

Gucci nails it every time. I LOVE the use of burgundy in these designs. So iconic!

I’m not ready to think about fall clothes, but this lookbook is beautiful!
Oh wow, for the first time that I’ve been reading your blog, I am in love with the whole collection that is featured here. The different texture, colours and patterns are stunning. Looking at the first dress was like meeting my first love alas, the price point of anything Gucci means I will never afford it. Fingers cross that we’ll win the 50 million lotto tomorrow?

That blue coat– I want it. I’m not usually one for prints but the heart/ flower print dresses are too pretty too resist. You’re right, these collection captures the best of 70s fashion.
