As promised here is part two of the Nolcha Fashion week shows. I hope you enjoyed part one, and until next Fashion Week stay fashionable my worthy fashionistas!
ALL COMES FROM NOTHING
Founded in 2014 by Eva Xu, All Comes From Nothing has quickly emerged as a design house to watch. Eva a trained artist, holds both a BFA which she completed at Tsinghua University in China and a MFA which she earned at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. And her background as a trained artist is evident in her work.
Citing artist Sol LeWitt as her muse and inspiration for this collection she has created minimalist clothing that eschews the entrapments of over ordination, which allows for a simplicity of shape and form. The structure of the garment takes center stage with sleek lines and geometric silhouettes melding and coming together in unconventional expectations. The palette of gray, black, white, navy and green root the collection to the earth but it also embodies an intentional unnatural intonation. Asymmetrical tops, caplet coats with embroidered geometrical patterns, turned out cropped “puffer” jackets, two-toned trenches, sleek leggings and flared trousers are layered, worn solely and mixed and matched in a uniformity of utilitarian beauty.
With a quite austere elegance and a bold approach to the human body All Comes From Nothing is sure to make a name for itself in the coming years.
