I
I have been lusting after a laser cut skirt for quite some time now and I recently scored quite the deal on one, so stayed tuned for a post on that—it is currently in the mail as I type this. But the sporty chic trend which can be dressed up or down is not just about sweat pants and cross trainers. And one item that any self respecting fashionista who wants to rock the sporty chic look without looking like she just came from the gym, is certainly the laser cut skirt. From the wide cut party frock silhouette to the flouncy tennis court style to the longer pencil cut lengths, laser cut skirts are a quick and relatively easy way to up your fashion game. I love how Amy of Song of Style, is wearing her laser cut skirt with a simple white button down and a pair of strappy heels. So simple, but major style kudos. And this two piece look from Zara makes rocking this trend even easier. Just throw on a pair of slip on sneakers or some heels grab your bag and viola, you are good to go. I can’t wait for my skirt to arrive in the mail, now the question will be, how to wear it, with some color block sandals? Heels? Flats? Sneakers? A clutch? A bucket bag? Or all of the above? I say yes to all of the above, although you may not want to say yes to all on the same day! So do you own a laser cut skirt? And how do you rock the sporty chic trend?Front image via http://stylabl.com

May 18, 2015I so love those slip ons. I saw a pair similar at Target for $25 dollars but they didn’t have my size. So disappointed as I really wanted a pair but don’t want to spend alot of money on them. I bought the Joie leopard print slip ons and they aren’t wearing well at all. For what I paid for them, they shouldn’t have.

May 18, 2015There is something so modern about a laser cut skirt. I love how you pointed out it’s versatility. I’ve been looking for a midi length one and am trying to decide between a few choices.

May 18, 2015Now this is a skirt that I can rock too! I really like the one from Lovers + Friends, the price is reasonable too but it’s sold out, hopefully they’ll restock? I can’t wait to see the skirt that you bought, I’ll bet it looks amazing on you!

May 19, 2015I agree, this item has so much “wear me” potential! I have perforated leather skirt and jacket, not quite laser but the detail is nice up close. I do have a leather later cut coat that has been in my closet for a few years now…OOOPs. thanks for reminding me.
You will see it in a post, i hope.
love your choices here! The KL skirt is gorj!

May 20, 2015This is one of my favorite trends right now and it definitely is a popular one– every time I go to buy a laser cut skirt they’re sold out! I’m hoping I’ll find the perfect one before summer’s over.
