Last week I had the pleasure of attending a launch event for Origins, I headed over with Rowena of Rolala Loves. The event was held at Birch Coffee and was for their new Ginzing line. It was beautiful day but very hot, lets just say a lot of sweat was involved. Ah, New York in the summer time, not always the easiest of feats to feel fresh and put together. But there was an event to attend so off I went like any self respecting influencer.
Luckily Birch Coffee was super cold inside so we had a chance to cool down. The event was well attended and quite crowded but there were plenty of delicious treats to nibble and cold brew to sip on so it was worth the jostling throngs of influencers. Everything was so pretty, they even had desserts designed with the Origins logo, so cute!
I am saving them for my trip to Paris as they are the perfect sizes for traveling
I tried the tinted moisturizer which was super creamy, when I first put it on it looked a bit yellow but then it blended in and more or less matched my skin tone. It is a skin matching moisturizer and it did just that. I didn’t try the moisturizing gel or eye cream but we received swag bags with the all the products that were on display so I didn’t have to try them at the event.
I am saving them for my trip to Paris as they are the perfect sizes for traveling. This now is my second video I shot with my G7X. This time I did remember to check the white balance when I headed inside but I did not check again at the end when I was shooting mainly with ambient daylight, I also should have checked the ISO as well which is why the footage at the end is tinted blue and looks a bit grainy. But I learn something new each time so it is all good.
And one more tip: If you use the Filmora software and purchase and install a new font and you have Filmora open you will have to close it and relaunch in order for the software to “see” the new font. It will not automatically see it and if don’t relaunch you may think the font is not working but rest assured it is, you just need to relaunch Filmora.
Well I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for my next video…
