Afew weeks ago we looked at Mango’s Spring Summer 2015 collection which featured a lot of 70’s inspired boho looks, with the pre-fall collection the 70’s vibe is still present but it has given way to a more stream lined urban feel. Prints are kept to a minimum and are expressed in stripes, leopard print and the occasional floral pattern. Straight cut mini skirts are shown with sequins, fringe and buttons and are balanced by more modest knee-length dresses and maxis, the pleated midi skirt in carmel faux leather is quite the stunner. The under lying 70’s vibe is reflected in the long, minimally adorned coats which have a vaguely Annie Hall feel to them, and a button down denim dress walks the line somewhere between the late 70’s and the mid 90’s. Slouchy crop top sweaters, paint splattered denim, overalls, a fluffy white faux fur jacket, and rock-n-roll pleather jeans keep the collection in a youthful vein, while the long white evening gown, flowing blouses, capri cut trousers and fitted knit sweaters embrace a more elegant adult vibe. I definitely have my eye on that carmel colored pleated skirt. What about you? Which of these garments is calling your name? Visit Mango.com to see more from this up coming collection.
