Last week I was invited to a pop up event for George, Gina & Lucy. GGL is a German handbag company that specializes in making fashionable, functional, and edgy handbags in a variety of materials and finishes. From nylon, to canvas, to leather, to a shiny pvc like material they call “Lacquer” there is something for all tastes. Their bags are sophisticated, girly, chic, trendy and above all fashion forward. They do not specialize in one look or even one market. From teenagers to the heads of corporations – there is a handbag for everyone. And many celebrities have been spotted with a GGL bag on their arms. January Jones, Nina Dobrev, Sophia Vergara and Kristen Bell are just a handful of the well known celebs that have been spotted out and about donning GGL. Even Channing Tatum was spotted with a GGL bag, and this is because they also make bags for men and children in addition to women.
Of course I wanted to know what all the fuss was about so I was uber excited to attend the pop up event last Monday. It was held at Foravi, a boutique in Soho which I am ashamed to admit I had not been to before, but I will definitely be back! The clothes are gorge! They had a wonderful DJ who played one of my favorite songs the Yeah, Yeah Yeah’s “Heads Are Gonna Roll” and there was wine, cocktails and horderves. In addition they gave away three hand bags! Unfortunately I was not one of the lucky winners, but I was fortunate enough to get to chat with the Director of International sales Ines Mesin. She gave me a sneak peak at bag that is going to be rolled out for the fall collection – and she even let me snap a picture of it! I love it, it has a metallic like finish, a wonderful shape, and it is BIG. I like big bags with lots of compartments. This is what I love about GGL bags, they are not just fashionable but also functional. Many of the bags are designed with multiple compartments in addition to the main body of the bag, so there is a place for everything. This is something I ALWAYS look for in a handbag. It was a fun, informative and chic evening. I am so glad I went, and stay tuned for the next event I attend!
GGL handbags are sold all across the United States. You can click here for list of the stores that carry their bags. To see more celebs out and about with GGL please click here. And if you live abroad you can also purchase their bags online by clicking here.

very cool!! wish i could have attended!
What a fun event! I’ve not heard of GGL bags but I’m totally down with bags that are both fashionable and functional. I always find a use for every little pocket inside my purses. I’ve walked by Foravi so many times and have only ever been in there once.
Have a fab week Ali!

Looks like such a fun event!
This looks like a great event, loving the bags and clutches! Also thanks for your comment on my nail art post. I didn´t apply the design to my own nails because the sticks where just to show the design and you can´t apply them. Also I wouldn´t like my nails to be that long xD However your information about oval shaped nails not breaking so quickly sounds really interesting and I´m glad I can stick to my usual shape 😉
