Today I am sharing with you what I wore to the Shop Style Social House event in Paris. Again I am wearing head to toe black, such a New Yorker. I seriously need to step away from so much black. But it is just so comfortable, and this lace dress from Zara is perfect for the in-between fall weather. It can be easily layered like a I did here, and the sheer layer at the bottom keeps it from being too warm.

I added this top from IRISandINK and layered it over the dress. I adore the detail in the bell sleeves with the sheer panels and distressed edge. I was feeling very chic in this. I generally don’t do such canned poses but I wanted you to see the embellishments on the sleeves. Loving this!

The boots which are super comfortable and a great way to do a lower heel at fashion week, are from Guess.  And the bag is from Trina Turk, and it added some much needed color to my look. And although this is a gorgeous bag I unfortunately had to return it. The paint on the graphic detail rubbed off. I was very surprised. I have had Trina Turk bags in the past and loved them, but I only used this bag for nine days and a good amount of the paint had rubbed off and it was quite noticeable. Too bad, because the design of the bag is killer.

And the sunnies which look super expensive were not. They retailed for $20.00 at Urban Outfitters. But I got them on sale and only paid $2.99! Which is a good thing, because I lost them. I left them in the Monoprix when I returned to pick up my debit card which I had left there. I was too embarrassed to go back. They were probably thinking…”what a bloody dingbat”.

This is the second pair of sunnies I have lost since NYFW. I left another pain in a Uber car. They were the Quay Australia sun glasses I wrote about this post. And this is why I do not spend more then $50 tops on sunnies. There is no hope for me!

  2. Shame you lost your sunglasses, and that bag is so pretty how frustrating the print started to rub off! It does look very nice with your black outfit – the lace detail on your dress is beautiful 🙂

    Hope you’re having a great week 🙂

  5. You look so chic! Black is so New York but you can really never go wrong with an all black outfit. Bummer about the sunglasses but at least they were a bargain.

  12. Brilliant layering, that top adds so much with the sheer panel! Love the outfit and cool bag, too bad the color came off! ERgh. -sometimes you just never know. Be glad you were not wearing a white dress, then both would have been ruined! See , always a silver lining,

  15. You look so chic! I love how you layered that lace Zara dress. I was gonna say yay for those cheap sunnies, but then I read that you lost them 🙁 That’s exactly like my mom! I’ve given her two pairs of ray bans… and she has lost those two pairs of ray bans. Now I know better lol

  17. I love the all black. Melbournians are known for perpetually doning all black too. Theres no better hue in my opinion. Shame about the sunnies. I don’t blame you for not wanting to invest in a pair.
