With a keen balance of minimalism and flourishes of carefully chosen details; Chicca Lualdi’s creations express the sense of the modern woman who can own her style with a relaxed sense of sophistication
For the next few Lookbook Fridays we will looking at some of the runway shows I attended in Paris. And the fist show I attended was the Chicca Lualdi show which opened the Oxford Shows in Paris. Chicca Lualdi is an Italian designer who is known for her impeccably constructed garments that capture the essence of the sixties with it’s distinct, highly structured silhouettes but which also encapsulates a modern approach and an ease of wearability. With a keen balance of minimalism and flourishes of carefully chosen details; Chicca Lualdi’s creations express the sense of the modern woman who can own her style with a relaxed sense of sophistication. From the embellished tunic tops, to relax fit shirt dresses, to kimono like wrap dresses, and toga inspired frocks, to minimalist separates like the frayed embellished pocket shirts and distressed shorts, the pull of simplicity and adornment creates a wonderful tension of elegance and edge. And this was the perfect start to my week in Paris for Paris Fashion Week.

October 26, 2016what a fabulous collection. This talented designer offers so much crisp newness, is that a word, even? Love the mixed stripes, the panels, the bow knotted waist, and the drape and flow of each piece. Superb!
