The balance of a rock-n-roll edge mixed with more earthy details blends effortlessly in a contemporary expression of eclectic joy
I am a big fan of mixed aesthetics when it comes to interior design. And I love when contrasting elements come together in unexpected ways and breath life in to a space. And interior designer Hannah Crowell’ of Crowell + Co Interiors latest exquisitely designed home does just that. The balance of a rock-n-roll edge mixed with more earthy details blends effortlessly in a contemporary expression of eclectic joy. The overall black and white palette is soften by warm grays, beiges, and a royal navy, while hotter pops of color are brought in with details like the ombre bench, sunflower yellow pillows, tangerine orange desk lamp and floral bouquets. Attention is paid to the unique touches that give the space character charm. From the botanical silhouette patterned pillows, the sea-life artwork, to the graphic black and white window coverings and striped throw rugs the intent is to not just create a beautiful space, but to create a beautiful home. A space in which one can actually live, and not a show piece to look at, at arms length. After all a home is for living in, not showing off. Though with a home as gorgeous as this one, I would want to show it off all the time. It looks stunning and simple.
I wish our dining room looks half as good as that…I would be having dinner parties all the time!

Great job balancing out two distinctly different decor styles and the light in the entire space is incredible. I love the mostly neutral color palette punctuated with subtle pops of color.
What a brilliant design! I need to get better at home decorating haha!
