PRE-LOVED THREADS AND HOW TO STYLE A LOOK FOR A DAY ABOUT TOWN

Brrr it has been cold around here. Though no where near as bad as the mid-west. On this day it was not too bad and at 33 degrees felt down right balmy. I was in Soho and met up with a fellow photographer I met last season shooting outside the shows. She is a wonderful photographer as you can see from these photos. I look forward to working with her again.

After shooting we window shopped a bit and then went for coffee. While we enjoyed our caffeine fueled beverages we observed two young Italian women, tourists I think, snapping away on their phones taking selfies and making duck faces and wearing sunglasses (indoors), it was hilarious.

A sign of the times eh?

And of course when we shooting, there were other people shooting personal style and even a professional shoot going on as well. A sign of the times eh?

For this look I mixed new clothes and accessories with pre-loved garments. The sunnies and scarf are new and both are from The Loft.  The belt is from Free People and the bag I got on a major sale is from Splendid. The jeans are also new and are the Wedgie Jean from Levis. I wore both the jeans and belt before in this post

Pretty dad sneakers! Who knew?

The top some of you may have seen in my Paris vlog, I picked up second hand and it is from Claudie Pierlot. The blazer is from Giorgio Armani and is also pre-loved and I purchased it at Habitat For Humanity. So a win-win—help the plant and help people. Got to love that.

The sneakers are new and I LOVE them. Pretty dad sneakers! Who knew? They are from Michael Kors and I got them on sale at Lord&Taylor. Score! I plan on wearing them for FW, comfortable and fashion forward works for me.

  6. I’m trying to educate my husband on shopping from the thrift store, buying second hand is great and can be quite the adventure to find a hidden gem. And most importantly, it’s great for the environment too.

Yes, it’s really ridiculous when someone is wearing sunglasses indoor and these selfies everywhere with so many ‘famous instagram celebrities’ who owe their fame to bots.

    Stay warm!:)
