Hello everyone in this installment of #BloggersOnDuty we are talking with Nicole of NicoleGramcko.com. Nicole is a nineteen year old actress and blogger. She grew up in New Jersey and now lives in the New York tri-state area. Acting is Nicole’s first passion but she also loves fashion and visual communication. She is a budding photographer and an avid lover of the cinema.

Fashion is also a passion and prompted Nicole to start her blog which brings all the things she loves together in one place. You will find her personal style, fashion tips and even her acting reel! She also worked for a time for a fashion outlet called KlickPicks. And needless to say she also has a YouTube channel. We met in Soho last week and had a wonderful time shooting and window shopping. We also grabbed lunch and sat outside where we had a lively conversation with a passerby who was walking a super cute dog. Just a typical day in New York! Nicole and I will be shooting and working together again and I am looking forward to producing content with her. Now lets get to know Nicole…

Why did you start your blog?
When beauty Youtubers first started getting popular in 2008-ish, all I wanted to do was start a beauty YouTube channel! I was 10 years old at the time, LOL. So it never happened because I never thought anybody could actually take me seriously. Throughout high school, I really started loving fashion and other fashion influencers. I really just wanted to share my outfits in a creative way. A blog, to me, was a starting point of unlimited creativity. And that’s what I wanted—a creative space where I can write about ANYTHING I want!

Where do you see your blog in five years?
I see my blog turning into not just a blog, but an influential business. I haven’t figured out how, but ideally, I want my business to be different and innovative but with a lot of meaning behind it. I want to go way beyond fashion, and give back to the world and my audience.

You worked in fashion, what is your favorite thing about fashion? And what is it about fashion you like the least?
The company I worked for was literally a dream internship — I worked on one of the most prettiest streets of NYC, I worked with models, I photographed and filmed them, there was amazing travel opportunities, etc. All of that was great, but there was something missing inside me. I love NYC and the energy and working next to the Chanel store, but I realized that I’m an entrepreneur and if I kept this dream job, I would be throughly miserable. I held onto it for materialistic reasons and that’s totally not a reason to hold onto a job. I was unhappy and I’m so glad I left! That’s probably not the answer anyone wants to hear if they’re working in fashion, but that was my truth!

If you didn’t live in New York, what city would you live in?
If I didn’t live in New York, what city would you live in? LA, baby!! I’m an actor and there are many more job opportunities for me out there! People call me a Californian already because I’m usually pretty relaxed and slow paced, haha.

What is your binge worthy Netflix suggestion?
I never binge watch TV! I actually never usually watch TV (I’m an avid cinema goer instead!) But…I did have the flu a few weeks ago and watched the entire season 2 of 13 Reasons Why. I have a guilty pleasure for high school dramas…
