Vitruvious derived from Marcus Vitruvious Polio who was a Roman author and engineer and wrote a volume of work discussing the perfect proportions of the human body, is a design collective out of Canada. The collective, working with proportion in mind goes beyond the idea of perfect proportion and creates garments with a strong structural emphasis in the silhouettes. Inspired by the over-sized garments of the Venetian era, this collective creates modern day pieces with stand out details such as: layers of ruffles, shoulder pads and generous billowing sleeves all in contemporary textiles with a dark gothic edge.

Thank you a combined effort of me and my photographer
this collection is fantastic. I love all the ruffles xx
There are so many great for matic pieces! I love the use of tulle here. My favourite are actually the all-black looks. I miss being able to wear edgy all black now that I live in tropical climates.

Allie, I adore this collection and think it is incredibly creative and succeeds brilliantly. The designs are very fresh and I love the voluminous pieces featured here. Excellent use of ethereal tulle, and I also applaud the gender neutrality. I am back from vacation and I’m pleased to be back reading your blog !
