The party frock,—that illustrious festive garment every well heeled fashionista has in her closet, has always held a special sense of glamour. From grand balls of centuries past, to the roaring twenties, to modern day cocktail parties—the party frock enables the wearer to transcend her ordinary life and feel special, emboldened, and dare I say like a star—even, if just for an evening. And the holidays are the time of the year to step out like a celeb. With its evening soirees, candlelit dinners and festive parties, it is the perfect excuse to buy something so not practical. Seriously though, who needs an excuse—here I rounded up some of the latest celebratory threads for the that special night on the town.
I looked for pieces that are relatively affordable as these are not pieces that are going to be worn on the daily. I included a mix of dresses and trouser sets and some accessories as well. I hope everyone is having a joyous holiday season, until next year—joyeaux anniversaire and happy shopping.
