Another blizzard is preparing to bear down on the north east, or rather a good portion of the U.S. and Florida seems like a hazy distant dream at this point. Eighty degrees and sunshine? Who said! Yep that is the average for the St Petersburg/Tampa area this time of year, and with zero humidity might I add. I had a hard time getting on the plane for the return trip to New York. But I reassured myself that I would return so that eased the pain a bit.
I had my own room with a TV in it and my own bathroom, they made it way to easy. Not sure if they are aware of what they got themselves in to…
Needless to say I had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to spend so much time out doors. From strolling the streets of down town St Petersburg to visiting the old Cuban neighborhood Ybor City in Tampa, to shopping antiques fairs, to cocktails and sunning myself at the beach I did it all. I stayed with my friends Danna and Mike who are soon to be married and I even accompanied them to their wedding cake tasting session. I had my own room with a TV in it and my own bathroom, they made it way to easy. Not sure if they are aware of what they got themselves in to…
And as the snow starts to fall here in the Big Apple, I find myself dreaming wistfully of those sunny shores in St Petersburg—but at least I have these photos to see me through. I hope you enjoy my snaps and lets all hope spring arrives sooner then later.

The pictures are really amazing! I didnt know of a St Petersburg in the US, just today I was looking at a connection to St Petersburg in Russia – so good to learn new things here! I am sure that it must be such a beautiful place – in both countries! The charm of an old Cuban atmosphere, so cool! I loved your dress, you look really beautiful and part of the cool place! Hope you have a very nice week!
