Today’s post is a mix of old and new where I mixed older pieces with some newer ones. This weekend I headed to a town on Long Island called Huntington and met up with the blogger behind the blog Shy Biker. Huntington is a lovely town on Long Island which is quite different from the town where I grew up. It has more of west coast city vibe to it with subtle hills and lots of boutiques, cafes and restaurants, and it is super pedestrian friendly which is nothing like the more working class south west shore, which is all about strip malls and driving.

It is a nice town to escape to and I had wonderful time meeting up with Ralph who treated my friend and I to a wonderful lunch at a local Indian Fusion restaurant. After lunch my friend and I shopped a bit and I scored a BCBG cross body for $39.00, and you can be sure this lovely gem will be making an appearance on the blog in the not too distant future. I was going to wear a pair of jeans with an over-printed star pattern and a striped button down blouse. But it was a bit too warm for that so I opted for this sheer midi skirt from & Other Stories and this super comfy tee from GAP. Perfect for the warmer weather—not to clingy.

I then added this acid washed denim jacket from I Love H81 and the ankle boots from Crown Vintage and a slouchy boho bag from Sondra Roberts

I added this J Crew necklace which I wrote about last week. I then added this acid washed denim jacket from I Love H81 and the ankle boots from Crown Vintage and a slouchy boho bag from Sondra Roberts. The aviator sunnies are from Loft. I usually do not like this style on me but these frames are small so they work on my face.

We managed to get this shoot in before it started to pour. I wanted to also shoot some video but the weather was just not cooperating. Oh well. I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did mine.
