It is interesting to note these are both era’s where women were coming in to their own and finding their own strength, and of course looking fabulously chic as they saved the world from tyranny and forged ahead with the woman’s movement

Rebeca Taylor known for making feminine clothes that are sophisticated and accessible with a fresh modern approach is looking back a bit with the pre-fall collection. She sites the French Resistance and the Bay City Rollers as influences. It is interesting to note these are both era’s where women were coming in to their own and finding their own strength, and of course looking fabulously chic as they saved the world from tyranny and forged ahead with the woman’s movement. This collection is  a  celebration of this strength. Art deco prints, smart flowing blouses, high waisted semi-flared trousers, wide lapel trenches, and tailored track pants blend seamlessly in a surprisingly fresh way. Texture also has a bit of a moment in this line up, and can be seen in the quilted bomber jacket and lace detailing seen through out. And with a palette of pastels and neutrals occasionally broken up with splashes of blues, purples and oranges this collection effortlessly straddles this in between season when we are saying good bye to one season and looking towards the start of a new beginning.

  5. I find this collection to be really romantic in such a chic and sophisticated way. The dark floral prints are all gorgeous and I love the lace details as well.

  6. Love the line. Great color palette and sensibility. Strong denim pieces, and not too expensive.

  7. What a gorgeous feminine collection and I love the dress in the picture third from the top. I would wear it as a dress without the pants and I think I can pull it off.

  9. So many beautiful looks, but I really want those buckle shoes!

  10. Those pants under that cute little dress really speaks to me. I would never think to pair the two but it’s so chic and fashionable I’m going to try it out for myself. Great looks!
