I am currently in Paris and although Miguel Vieira did not show in Paris his collection for SS2018 does have a bit of a Parisian feel. Sticking to his palette of black, white and gray you will also the occasion pale pink like the men’s cropped blazer with it’s floral patch detail, or the pop of red in the same detail that also appears on men’s tees and button downs and women’s pull-overs. But the real star of the show was the texture and the varied finishes. A cracked patten showed up through out the collection appearing on dresses, tops and jackets. With a strong emphasis on tactile elements the silhouette also took center stage with high-low hems, militaristic cap sleeves and cinched waists. A sophisticated sense of edginess, this collection is a sumptuously minimalist homage to the urban dweller.
