We had quite the rough start to summer here in New York, it seems this summer is following in the footsteps of last summer with heavy rains and lots of humidity. It literally rained six days in row last week, and it is mid June?? Felt more like the end of April. We did get a bit of a break with more sunshine and some drier days, let’s hope it sticks around and we actually have a real summer.
To get you in the proper mood we will be looking at Loveshack Fancy’s Resort Collection for 2019. The lineup does not disappoint: ruffles, peasant skirts, eyelet, ribbons, florals, and pastels all represent. You will also find touches of tulle, mid-century styled sweaters, and even a gold lame mini skirt set. A bit of departure fo the brand. I can’t help but be a wee bit reminded of Laura Ashley of the lates 80s and early 90s, albeit a lot sexier. What a fun romp of playful flirtation. It is this balance of romance and a simmering sultry elegance that give this collection it’s undeniable appeal.
