Fashion Week has come and gone, but there is still fashion news to announce, and one exciting piece of news is that Kate Moss is launching her own talent agency. After an extended career as a model–twenty seven years to be exact, which is a marathon for a model, Kate Moss left her agency Storm to focus on her self and the next step in her career and to put all her energy into the dream of owning her own agency. Kate speaks about having more creative control and seeking more fulfillment then she got from being a model.
I didn’t realise how much it was going to change the way I feel because it is like taking responsibility for my own [business], whatever I do, instead of being the model who’s being sent on jobs to turn up and just be whatever they want you to be.
Working in graphics I can certainly identity with this assessment. Many people think it is all creativity all the time when the reality is, much of it is producing other peoples ideas. Hence the existence of this blog. I am so excited for Kate and excited to see how her company and brand develops. With the negative news as of late of powerful men in Hollywood and other major media outlets it will be nice to see a woman in charge of not just her own destiny but the destiny of other eager creatives.

April 13, 2018That’s a great move for her! I love when women move on to a bigger career move 🙂 And I love the first model she signed up. That girl was one of her bridesmaids and I’ve noticed that girl in every future thinking, she’ll be a great model one day.

April 14, 2018I’ve never really thought about your point before, about how people think it’s all creativity but it’s more about producing other people’s ideas, I didn’t really know that but I guess it makes sense. Also, wow to Kate Moss for the new agency.
Have a good weekend dude 🙂
