The third to walk in the “Ones To Watch” show was the Chinese label Just In Case. The brand was founded by Chou Yu-Ying who was the winner of Elle’s 2015 New Talented Award of Taiwan and the 2016 Men’s Uno Next Asian Top 5 Fashion Designers. With the Just In Case label Chou Yu-Ying combines eastern and western influences as well as traditional and contemporary takes to create dramatic street style inspired clothes that express the DNA of the brand which is the eclectic melding of eastern and western styles. The collection for fall 2017 has a noticeable goth edge to it, while embracing the over-sized ethos of urban street wear and a nod to the the rebellious spirit that is at the heart of the brand. Loved this Avante Gardé line, super forward, and inspiring.
I can see how this line will may be one to influence other lines, even though the pieces, are are not super wearable for most.
Those coats!
