And that first photo – what early 70’s vibes – love it! Why do the models all look angry? If I were styling Givenchy, I’m sure I’d have a huge smile on my face.

August 19, 2019I was wondering how it was possible for one of the models to have such narrow hips and then I realized the model was a guy. I started to wonder whether all the models were in fact guys. Their shoe and hand size certainly suggests it. I must admit this distracted me from the collection somewhat. Beautiful models but how I’m supposed to know how these pieces will look on a female body? On the other hand, there is sometimes satisfying about the photography of this one. Maybe it was clever to use the models of the opposite gender for this Lookbook. It creates a point of interest. The clothes themselves are also wonderful. That super cropped jacket styled with a skirt look is to die for. This Lookbook made me a bit puzzled but maybe it is a good thing.

I might have pulled it off when I was 21. Realizing it was a guy modeling it… the look is now totally regulated to fantasy for me, but still artful and beautiful.
